Carlo Forcolini is a great Italian designer of the 20th century. He is well known designing structural and functional furniture.  During his prolific career, he created more than a hundred pieces inspired by literature, cinema and art. He has worked with major publishers such as Amar, Artemide, Cassina and Alias. 

Carlo Forcolini was born 1947 in Italy. He studied fine arts at the Brera Academy in Milan. In 1969, he helped found Alias, Oylight and Némo as a designer and entrepreneur. He left his country in 1978 to settle in London until 1984. He founded Alias ​​UK then became the director of Artemide Great Britain. During the 1980s, Forcolini participated in numerous exhibitions around the world. He has been the coordinator of the Forcolini Lab creative workshop since 1999 but also the vice-president of the European Design Institute since 2012. His furniture is present in major museums such as the Decorative Arts in Paris.
